Sedona is nestled in the Coconino forest. At about 4500 elevation it is considered high desert and as such has cooler temps than the nearest major city and airport hub of Phoenix, AZ approximately 100 miles south.
Sedona is a small town of approximately 10-12 thousand residents but is very high in yearly visitors with an estimated 3 million each year!
Known for it's iconic red rock formations that reach for the sky and energy vortexes Sedona is a magical place that should be on your list of places to visit when given the opportunity.
There are many hikes and photo opportunities with the towering red rocks most notably Cathedral Rock and Courthouse. Bell Rock, Snoopy Rock just to name a few.
In the heat of summer Oak Creek is the best place to take some time and cool off in the waters while enjoying the view.
